At 1053 hours, SCDF received a call for a case of kitchen fire. SCDF resources which include 1 Fire engine, 2 Fire bikes, 1 Red Rhino, 1 Support Vehicle, 1 Ambulance were immediately dispatched and arrived at the scene within 7 minutes.

Forcible entry into the unit was conducted. Fire fighters found the kitchen area well alight. There were no occupants in the unit at the time of the fire.

The fire was extinguished within 15 minutes with 1 water jet. Fire was contained to the kitchen area of the unit. There were no casualties or reports of any injuries as a result of this fire.

SCDF and SPF conducted evacuation of neighbouring units on the 4th and 5th floor as a precautionary measure. The cause of fire is under investigation.
