At 1606 hrs, SCDF was alerted to a fire inside a classroom at Jurong West Secondary School. Upon receiving the notification, 2 Fire Engines, 1 Red Rhino, 2 Fire Bikes, 1 Ambulance and 1 Support Vehicle were dispatched.

Upon arrival, a section of a classroom (facing the corridor) on the 3^rd floor was on fire. There was no one in the classroom. SCDF fire-fighters immediately deployed 1 water jet and extinguished the fire quickly. The fire involved some bags and clothes, was confined within the section of the classroom.

There were no reported injuries and the cause of fire is under investigation.
