At 0728 hrs, SCDF was alerted to a road traffic accident involving a lorry that skidded along Braddell Road towards Bartley Road. As a result, the lorry rammed into a tree at the centre of the road. 1 Fire Engine, 1 Red Rhino, 1 Support Vehicle and 1 Ambulance were immediately dispatched. Upon arrival, SCDF found the driver trapped.
The casualty was pinned from his knees downwards by the dashboard of the vehicle. SCDF used hydraulic ram and hydraulic spreader and cutter to free the casualty from the wreckage.
The casualty suffered bruises on both legs and was conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital for treatment. He was alert and conscious.
