At 2254 hrs, SCDF received a call informing that an incident had occurred at Kranji Reservoir Road, toilet 2. SCDF resources including 1 Fire Engine,1 Red Rhino,1 Fire Bike, 1 Rescue Tender, 1 Light Tender and 1 Ambulance were immediately deployed.

The incident involved a 12 footer lorry that hit a tree and landed in a common drain. The driver was trapped in the driver"s compartment steering wheel and was extricated by CD using 2 sets of spreader & cutter. The man was pronounced dead by paramedic at the scene. There were no other casualties.
