At 0539 hrs, SCDF was alerted to a road traffic incident involving a lorry which had hit a tree along Yishun Ave 3, near Sree Maha Mariammam Temple (251 Yishun Ave 3).
SCDF responded within 4 minutes to the location.1 Fire Engine, 1 Red Rhino, 1 Ambulance and 2 Support Vehicles were deployed to the scene.
Upon arrival, SCDF officers found the driver (male, Chinese, 50s), trapped in the driver's seat. The driver was released by SCDF using a hydraulic spreader and cutter. SCDF paramedics were on scene to stabilize the casualty"s condition.
The driver sustained fracture on his lower right leg, and was conscious when conveyed by SCDF ambulance to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
